Once you make a report, you are in charge of what happens next. Whether you're ready to take further action or just want to share information, we are here to respect your decision and support you. Here’s what your options are:

1. You Can Be Contacted for More Support
   • If you choose, a Safe Adult Mentor (SAM) can contact you directly to offer support, listen to your concerns, and help you figure out what the next steps might be. You can decide whether you want to receive contact and when.
   • Our SAMs are trained to approach every situation with care and respect. They will make sure you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way.
2. Your Report Can Be Just for Information
   • If you prefer, your report can simply be used to gather information without taking any immediate action. This means your concerns are noted, but no further steps will be taken unless you decide to move forward.
   • This option is there for you if you just want to share something without feeling pressured into any further action. You can always change your mind later if you decide to speak up further.
3. Your Report Can Lead to Action
   • If you choose to take action, your report may lead to an investigation or steps to address the issue. Our team will work with trusted adults, such as coaches, sports organizations, or even legal authorities, depending on the situation.
   • We’ll make sure that the process is handled with care and confidentiality, always focusing on your safety and well-being. Any action taken will be explained to you clearly, and you will be supported throughout the process.

Respecting Your Decisions

Your privacy and your feelings are important. Ask for SAM is committed to making sure you are in control. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or want to change your decision, you can do so. We’re here to listen and support you, no matter what.
