How We Help Young Athletes

_

Learn and Stay Safe

Our platform is filled with resources designed just for kids. With easy-to-read guides, interactive tools, and helpful tips, we empower young athletes to understand their rights and recognize unsafe situations. Whether it’s through role-playing activities, age-tailored educational materials, or engaging content, we ensure every child knows they deserve to feel safe and respected in sports.

_

Workshops and Empowerment Programs

We host interactive workshops and programs that teach young athletes how to recognize and respond to signs of abuse. These sessions include role-playing activities, educational games, and practical strategies to build confidence and awareness.

Reporting Tools

_

The “Ask for Help” Button

If you’re ever worried about your safety in sports, our anonymous “Ask for Help” tool is here for you. This secure platform connects you with a Safe Adult Mentor (SAM) in your area, ensuring your concerns are heard and addressed confidentially.

_

Child-Friendly Reporting Mechanisms

We also offer additional reporting channels, including child-friendly hotlines and anonymous reporting tools, designed to be accessible and easy to use.

Who Are SAMs?

_

Meet the Safe Adult Mentors

Safe Adult Mentors (SAMs) are trusted adults trained to ensure sports remain a safe and enjoyable environment. You’ll often spot SAMs at events by their badges or logos. They’re always ready to listen, provide guidance, and take your concerns seriously.

_

Support and Training for SAMs

Ask for SAM also supports our mentors through continuous training programs, enabling them to handle sensitive situations with care. SAMs participate in workshops, share experiences, and gain new skills through our online platform, ensuring they’re always prepared to help.

Collaborating for Change

_

Partnerships with Sports Organizations

We collaborate with football clubs, associations, and other sports organizations to embed child safety into their culture. By working together, we’re creating comprehensive abuse prevention protocols and establishing clear reporting mechanisms.

_

Policy Development and Advocacy

Our team helps organizations craft policies prioritizing child safety while advocating for stronger regulations that protect kids in sports.

Support Systems for Affected Children

_

Professional Counseling and Peer Support

For children who’ve experienced abuse, we provide access to professional counseling services (both in-person and online) and supervised peer support groups. These safe spaces allow young athletes to share experiences and heal together.

_

Raising Awareness

_

Campaigns for Parents and Guardians

We offer educational materials and awareness campaigns aimed at parents and guardians, helping them recognize and address abuse in sports.

_

Public Advocacy and Campaigns

Our advocacy extends to policymakers and the broader community, raising awareness of the importance of child safety and promoting safe sporting environments.

_

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Impact

We regularly audit our programs and gather feedback from athletes, parents, coaches, and volunteers to ensure we’re meeting our goals. Through surveys and impact assessments, we continuously refine our initiatives, making sure every effort contributes to a safer future for young athletes.

_

Together, We Make a Difference

Ask for SAM isn’t just a website—it’s a community. By providing safe ways to speak up and connecting young athletes with caring adults, we’re creating lasting change. Together, we’re building a world where every child feels confident, protected, and supported in sports. Remember: If you have questions, concerns, or want to learn more about staying safe, Ask for SAM is always here for you.
